Horrible Bosses was a nice little comedy. It had a couple redeeming qualities like Kevin Spacey being mean, Charlie Day singing in the car and the guy who pees on people, but other than that the concept was better than the execution.
Well now we get to see it all over again. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Day, Jason Sudeikis and Jason Bateman have agreed to return for the sequel, which will also see director Seth Gordon return as well as the screen writers.
So what’s a sequel to a movie called Horrible Bosses about? You guessed it, more horrible bosses. The trio is set to get a new round of terrible, horrible bosses that they want to kill. Although THR notes that Jennifer Aniston and Spacey may make cameos because unlike Colin Farrell’s character – spoiler – they weren’t killed.
Jamie Foxx is also in negotiations to return as their mentor-but-not-really-a-mentor Motherfucker Jones. Based on the algorithms of space, time, money and sequels I expect Foxx to have a heavier role in the sequel. Because really, when you have a side character that’s entertaining it’s hard not to give him even more time and break why he worked in the first place.
