Here’s your first look at Rachel McAdams in Brian De Palma’s Passion
Remember Brian De Palma? He directed Scarface, the first Mission Impossible, Carlito’s Way, The Untouchables and Carrie. He hasn’t made a movie since 2007′s Redacted and hasn’t made a big movie since 2006′s The Black Dahlia.
He’s tapped Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace for his 2013 return with Passion. The film looks … well just look at the photos. It’s a remake of 2010 French film Crime d’amour, and using my very limited French I’m guessing that means Love Crime. Here’s what it’s about:
The offices of a prominent multinational corporation is the setting for this story of a power struggle between two contemporary women. Isabelle has unlimited admiration for her direct superior, Christine, a woman well-schooled in the ways of power. Christine enjoys holding sway over Isabelle, leads her one step at a time and ever more deeply into a game of seduction and manipulation, of dominance and servitude. The game is played for keeps, and there is no turning back.
Woah, what? Hold on a second. WHAT? Is this a female-on-female version of 50 Shades of Grey?
McAdams plays Christine and Rapace plays Isabelle. Apparently, Christine steals some of Isabelle’s ideas and Isabelle gets pissed and goes on a murder rage kind of thing. You can check out some other pictures, including McAdams in a creepy white mask with a knife over at the film’s Facebook page. Check out the steamy poster below. [via FilmDrunk]
