The Lone Ranger has had some troubles getting going. The budget was too big. Disney cancelled the movie then Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski cut the budget and some of the more expensive scenes from the script and Disney accepted the changes.

Today, Bruckheimer tweeted a still from the set with a simple message: Tonto and the Lone Ranger ride again!

Indeed they do. Johnny Depp looks like a much crazier looking Tonto while I’m digging Armie Hammer’s Lone Ranger. The film is set for a May 31, 2013 release. [Bruckheimer via Deadline]
