Here’s your first look at Disney’s amazing short Paperman

When Wreck-It Ralph hits theaters on November 2, the world will get it’s chance to look at Disney’s new short Paperman, which has been getting a lot of buzz. Now we see why.

Disney is using a new technique, and a new program called Meander, that blurs hand-drawn animation and computer-generated animation in a way that hasn’t been seen before. The first stills look absolutely gorgeous, so whatever they’re doing is working.

Paperman is a tale about a lonely young man who’s life changes after he meets a beautiful woman at the train station. He misses his chance the first go around, but sees her across his office building in a skyscraper window. All he has to get her attention is his imagination and a stack of papers.

It certainly sounds amazing. Now we just have to wait a couple months to actually see it. [via The Daily Blam]
