Here’s your first look at Angelina Jolie as Maleficent in the live-action prequel to Sleeping Beauty

Not many people know who Maleficent is, so let me some it up right here: She’s Sleeping Beauty’s villain. This is what she looks like.

Disney is making a live-action prequel to Sleeping Beauty starring Angelina Jolie. This is what she looks like as the evil sorceress.

As you can see, the look is fairly close. The prequel is set to uncover the events of why Maleficent’s heart was hardened and why she cursed the baby Aurora. The film also stars Sharlton Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imeida Staunton and Juno Temple. It’s set to hit theaters March 14, 2014. Avatar production designer Robert Stromburg will make his debut with the flick, which started shooting last week. [IGN]
