Hans Zimmer will score new Superman movie Man of Steel

Christopher Nolan and Hans Zimmer are like best buddies or something. The two have teamed up on Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Inception and The Dark Knight Rises. It looks like the best composer in the game will now score the Christopher Nolan-produced Man of Steel.

Yup, after working on Batman Zimmer will work on Superman as well. Zack Snyder is directing Man of Steel, but there has to be a Nolan fingerprint somewhere on this film. Scoring any new Superman film must be a great honor as the genius that is John Williams scored Richard Donner’s film and came up with that classic theme. Oh, that theme. Listen to it below and bask in Hans Zimmer’s potential take on Superman.

Sidenote: this marks the first time Tyler Bates won’t score a Snyder film, after having done 300, Dawn of the Dead, Watchmen and Sucker Punch. [Variety]
