Oscar-nominated director Darren Aronofsky is taking a big chance with an adaptation of the biblical Noah’s Ark tale. I mean, religious movies are hard to sell generally. Passion of the Christ is the one huge exception.

Russell Crowe stars as Noah, and must build an ark to save God’s creations from an upcoming flood. It’s sure to be a visual marvel, but I just hope it doesn’t come across as preachy. Anyway, Paramount and New Regency have released the first photo of Crowe as Noah. He looks pretty good, but also kind of reminds me of Robin Hood, which sucked. Hopefully this doesn’t suck.
