First Look: Disney’s new Princess movie Frozen
It’s been about two years since Disney’s last Princess movie, Tangled, so it’s about time they get on releasing another one. Last year we got the excellent Winnie the Pooh and in 2012 we get video game movie Wreck-It Ralph. And, really – Disney Princess are big properties.
The latest one stars the voice of Kristen Bell as Anna, who teams up with a “daring mountain man” to find the Snow Queen. Anna wants to try to put an end to the spell that’s kept the kingdom in eternal winter. Robert Lopez (The Book of Mormon) and Kristen Anderson-Lopez (Winnie the Pooh) will be writing original songs for the film, so that’ll be awesome. The film itself is directed by Chris Buck, who made that animated Tarzan movie for the studio.
This one, like Tangled, is going to be CG. It looks like the poor box office receipts of The Princess and the Frog and Winnie the Pooh has scared the studio away from hand-drawn animation. And that’s a damned shame, because both of those were beautiful animated films. Check out the concept images below. [Disney Pixar Fandom via Collider]
