One of the best parts of Quentin Tarantino’s last two films is Christoph Waltz. He’s marvelous at playing a quick-witted, sharp-tongued genius. And he’s funny. Now he’s going to get the chance to show what he can do on Saturday Night Live.
Waltz is nominated for an Oscar this year for his role in Django and his episode of SNL will play on February 16, eight days before the Oscars are telecasted across the world. Make no mistake: a lot of this is Harvey Weinstein seizing Waltz’s Golden Globes momentum to get a couple votes for that Oscar campaign. But, honestly, I’m perfectly fine with that. [Deadline]
