Disney announces Tomorrowland movie, previously known as 1952, from Incredibles director Brad Bird

Last week Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and The Incredibles director Brad Bird tweeted a mystery briefcase featuring old photos of Walt Disney. Then, I speculated that maybe Bird and co-writer Damon Lindelof were working on a movie about Disneyland.

Today Disney announced that the film known as 1952 has been renamed Tomorrowland and is… about… something. George Clooney is set to star but we don’t know what this movie is about. It’s either about the creation of Tomorrowland or it’s inspired by both Tomorrowland and Uncle Walt’s vision for the future. Inside The Magic notes that the briefcase might have merely inspired Bird and Lindelof in the creation of the movie.

Either way, Tomorrowland is definitely a movie to watch out for.
