The Oscar-winning screenwriter will make her directorial debut with a script that she also wrote. So what’s it about?

Well, it’s about a conservative woman that loses her faith after an airplane crash. Some deep stuff, but she figures the best place for a sinner to live is in Las Vegas. On her journey she rediscovers her faith. Not too bad from the Juno and Jennifer’s Body scripter, and a nice little debut for her as well.

I love Diablo Cody, and this movie has me excited. Mason Novick, who produced 500 Days of Summer, is producing and apparently its been fast tracked. So expect some more news soon. [The Wrap]
