Dailies 6/7/12: Samuel L. Jackson in RoboCop reboot, Community directors helming Captain America 2 and more
Today was a good day for recuts. First we got Star Wars recut as a telenovela about Han Solo’s burning loins.
Then we got Mrs. Doubtfire recut as a horror film. How did no one see that before? It’s brilliant!
And then there was a period where sequels and reboots got plenty of news. Like hey, Michael Bay is ONLY making Transformers 4 so the “next guy” can takeover. Uh huh.
Then we learned that Captain America 2 will probably be directed by the Russo Brothers, who are responsible for a bunch of TV shows like Happy Endings and Community.
Samuel L. Jackson getting casted in the RoboCop reboot gives it a nice spark. Wait… is Nick Fury trying to recruit him for the Avengers Initiative?
Prometheus is coming out tomorrow, and no – Tom Hardy is NOT in it.
He is in The Dark Knight Rises playing Bane, however. And now you can learn about Bane’s backstory in the movie. WARNING: There are spoilers.
