Dailies 5/18/12: The Walking Dead obstacle course, Schwarzenegger remix, Cannes posters and more
Jackie Chan action movies make up a good portion of my younger years. They were so awesome and he did all his own stunts! Plus the outtakes for all his movies were awesome. So it’s sad to see he’s finally retiring from action movies.
Arnold Schwarzenegger hasn’t retired from action movies yet though. He’s even going to be in The Expendables 2! Celebrate this by listening to a new Schwarzenegger remix. Who is your daddy and what does he d-do.
Will Smith used his action film skills to slap a Ukranian reporter at the Men in Black 3 premiere. Of course, it’s all about cultural differences and it wasn’t anything serious. But it’s still weird seeing him slap someone.
You’ll get to slap some zombies silly (not really) at Comic Con this year. San Diego’s Petco Park (it’s a baseball stadium) is going to be transformed into something from The Walking Dead. You can pay to be a walker, a survivor or a spectator.
The Avengers will have a large presence at Comic Con. The movie is breaking all kinds of records after all. No word on whether it’ll break the record for most records broken though.
Another superhero movie, The Amazing Spider-Man, is trying to promote itself. I’m not sure if having stars Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield sing in German is going to do it though.
The new posters for Lawless came out and they look pretty awesome. Tom Hardy is a scary, scary man.
If you’re a fan of posters or billboards for films check out Vulture’s slideshow from Cannes. A lot of movies get picked up for distribution there and you can see the awesome looking and crazy looking movies. And then there are the terrible looking ones. Goal of the Dead? Really?
You probably would lie about watching that movie. After all, people do lie about watching movies. Although mostly to impress their friends.
You shouldn’t see any of the movies that came out today. Our review roundup is live and it’s pretty negative. Stick to Netflix this weekend, folks.
