Comic-Con 2012: John Carter fans using booth to collect signatures for sequel

John Carter was a pretty big (box office) failure for Disney. So big that they ended up writing the film off. There has been little mention from them about a sequel, even though the movie wasn’t terrible. In fact, it’s quite enjoyable.

Sure, there are problems with it but there are enough people that care about this movie that it may evolve into something of a cult classic. And now those fans are looking to getting Disney to make a sequel. Over in Comic-Con, there is a booth run by the people behind John Carter Two website giving away Carter-related stuff and gathering signatures for a sequel. If you’d like to suppor them, you can head over to their site.

Let me just say, this is what makes fans so awesome. They love the movie so dearly that they want another one. Although I don’t think I need a sequel to John Carter, I commend their effort and hope they get what they want. [IndieWire]
