Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy is one of the reasons that the superhero genre is as big as it is today. He was the first to get the formula right. Of course, Christopher Nolan and Batman have taken that to the next level, but Raimi (and Richard Donner with Superman) were the forerunners.

Now you can celebrate that original trilogy in this epic video chronicling the first three films. Yes, it avoids that jazz number in Spider-Man 3. Actually, it’ll just make you sad about how terrible that movie was and how good it could have been … but the rest of it is pretty awesome. Watch it.
