BREAKING: Tony Scott, director of Top Gun and Man on Fire and brother of Ridley Scott, dies in apparent suicide
Some shocking news on this Sunday. Stylish director Tony Scott, who’s best known for his films Top Gun and Man on Fire, died in an apparent suicide tonight.
The Los Angeles coroner confirmed to The Wrap that Scott jumped off the Vincent Thomas bridge near Long Beach in LA. The U.S. Coast Guard told The Daily Breeze that a suicide note was found inside Scott’s Toyota Prius, which was parked outside of the eastbound side of the bridge.
Scott is best known for Top Gun and Man on Fire. His most recent films were The Taking of Pelham 123 and Unstoppable. He was working on Top Gun 2.
