Brazil used a guy dressed as Batman to help fight crime
Brazil is a fairly dangerous place. You can get kidnapped, shot, killed and whatever else while you’re there. It’s damned scary.
To help prevent crime, the town of Taubate, Brazil has enlisted retired police officer Andre Luiz Pinheiro to dress up as Batman. Pinheiro is mostly used to help teach kids right from wrong. He visits schools and raises awareness about drug trafficking. I know that if Batman came into class during a D.A.R.E. course when I was a kid I would have definitely listened.
Can’t you imagine him in his gruff voice?
Batman: STAY AWAY FROM DRUGS!
Snotty kid: What are you, a cop?
Batman: DO I LOOK LIKE A COP!?
Snotty kid gets scared: Uh, n-no. I’ll stay away from drugs! I swear to God!
Batman: SWEAR TO ME!
Although this guy does it in a nicer way. I’m sure he doesn’t want kids to piss their pants in the process. By the way, who the hell is that clown in the picture? Is that Harley Quinn? Did you ever think you’d see Batman and a weird-looking Harley Quinn play rugby? [via Movies.com]
