Brad Pitt Talks: Occupy Wall Street

Brad Pitt is in Tokyo doing press for his Oscar-buzzed movie Moneyball. He was asked about the Occupy protest and for his thoughts, so he gave them.

I think what you’re seeing in America is questioning a system that has not served us very well. A system that is defined for corporate lobbyists instead of the best needs for the people and people are feeling screwed a little bit there.

He says something that not enough people realize. It’s not enough to just protest, you need to find a solution.

The most important thing is really, not just getting swept up in the fervor of a fight… but really understanding the details, really understanding the systemic problems, and you can’t stop there, really looking for solutions. And if you’re going to say one guy’s bad, you’ve got to back it up with this is how we fix it. And I think that’s an important follow-up that we often miss.

That’s some sound advice, American people. You can watch what he said below. [Huffington Post via Moviefone]
