The Hobbit is one of the more anticipated films of 2012. Unlike other anticipated 2012 movies, there has been no teaser trailer. The Amazing Spider-Man, The Dark Knight Rises, The Avengers, they’ve all received teaser trailers. But not The Hobbit.

That’s about to change. Andy Serkis, who plays Gollum, tells IGN that the trailer will be hitting around Christmas time. So which movies do you have to see to get a glimpse at The Hobbit? Sherlock Holmes 2 his theaters on December 16, so that’s a possibility. Peter Jackson-produced The Adventures of Tintin may be more likely though with a December 21st release date.
