What is up with AMC and quality television? It’s like their addicted. What the fuzz, guys?

First Mad Men, then Breaking Bad, then Walking Dead? Now you want to make a gangster TV show based on Martin Scorsese’s classic film Goodfellas? Get out. No fair. HBO is the only network that’s supposed to have awesome TV shows.

Deadline is reporting. They say the writer of the film, who actually adapted it from the book Wiseguy, is working on the show. So expect some good things. Now, how will this work exactly. Is it going to be Friday Night Lights in that it’s inspired by the movie but not actually connected in any way? Or is it a continuation or prequel of the events in the film? Can Scorsese direct the first episode?

AMC’s track record has been awesome recently, so expect another show to watch in the golden age of TV. [Deadline]
